New SuperHero: Jasper Mittelmeijer

We’re doing well. Sometimes it’s just nice to say so. Especially when we can also announce to you we’ve got a great new SuperHero in our team: art director Jasper Mittelmeijer has joined us.

Coming from Amsterdam Worldwide, Jasper has been responsible for a number of great campaigns of Onitsuka Tiger, Asics, Panasonic and Opel. He also worked at MTV for quite some time.

Spinawards coming up

In the Netherlands the SpinAwards is the Dutch equivalent of the Webby’s. We’ve entered three 2009 campaigns: Fireworks campaign, Lassie and BMW. Since we are SuperHeroes for the good of all, we won’t be using any of our superpowers to influence members of the jury. Honestly. Ok, maybe a little bit. But just gently.

Interactive Pre-Rolls – Whitepaper

Fresh news today: we initiated a large scale research project on interactive prerolls. Together with Sanoma Digital, Metrixlab and Lassie. The press release will be sent in a few minutes.

We have very interesting findings: Among other things, the whitepaper shows that interactive prerolls performed 4 times better than standard ones on brand recall + top of mind and showed 8% click rates.

New client: Carbonell


We’re very happy to announce SuperHeroes has landed a new client: Carbonell. Our Spanish Lucky Ham sure did its job… Carbonell is one of Spain’s most iconic brands. Did you know Carbonell’s “Gitana” girl on the label on the bottles of olive oil has been there since the early 1900’s? Pretty amazing. We don’t know how many brands can say so too (do you know?)

Anyway, we’re going to work on a brand new international digital brand presence. Launching countries will include Germany, Great Britain, Belgium and of course the Netherlands. As a prologue we are now already working on an activation for the dutch Huishoudbeurs. To be continued…
